We define it in many ways: signage, signage, signposting, signage, signage, signage … In English there is a word, wayfinding, which does not have a literal translation into English but explains much more. Wayfinding goes beyond just placing orientation signage, it takes into account multiple factors such as architecture, interior design, landscaping, the strategic study of the needs of the different types of users in a space, the analysis of the cognitive response of people in the search for orientation, graphic design, clarity of messages, ease of reading, that is, everything that responds to the need for orientation. A good wayfinding analyzes the different aspects and gives an efficient solution to the orientation of people in outdoor and indoor environments and this response must be multi-channel.

The messages must be quick and easy to read, simple and unambiguous. Mobile signage must be strong enough to withstand constant handling. Emergency signage is subject to strict conditions defined by UNE standards, however Signes approved products have been designed to be used in buildings where quality and interior design have been invested in.
