The largest modernist site in the world

The modernist complex of the Hospital de Sant Pau is the largest space in the world from this period. Designed at the beginning of the 20th century by the Catalan architect Lluís Domènec i Montaner, it houses 19 pavilions for various hospital uses.

Faced with this colossal challenge, the most important thing to do to mark this unique outdoor space was to know what not to do. The signage project was carried out with the utmost respect for the architecture and with the inclusion of the most suitable materials for this unique and historic environment.

With total complicity with the architects responsible for the rehabilitation of ten pavilions that began in 2009, Signes designed, manufactured and installed in 2016, the exterior signage of the entire new enclosure, using high quality materials and finishes: stainless steel, burnished brass and aluminum, using laser technology for the perfect assembly of materials.

Due to the results obtained, our company is proud to have participated in the signage and restoration of this space, which is part of the World Heritage Site.
