A project of height

Gas Natural Fenosa is now Naturgy, a company that operates in the electricity and gas sectors with its operational headquarters in the unique “Torre Marenostrum” building, which faces the sea in Barcelona’s Olympic Village.

With its 86 meters in height, it stands out for its particular volumetry and spectacular cantilever that is supported in the void, in addition to its characteristic facade cladding with different shades of glass. A modern and posthumous work of the architect Enric Miralles who, together with his co-author of the project Benedetta Tagliablue, have made it part of the city’s skyline.

Naturgy announced its new image in July 2018, and contacted us a month before so we could make the change of its exterior and interior signage.

He relied on our experience, quality and confidentiality to collaborate with the Interbrand team, where we were able to advise them on the most suitable materials and finishes to bring their designs to life. The dates programmed by the client for the change of image, required to manage with the maximum speed before the City Council the obtaining of licenses and permits for the installation of the exterior signage, consisting of the two luminous symbols “butterflies” at the top of the facade of the building and the luminous corporeal marking on the main facade of road access to the building. Interior identification markings were also replaced: in the building’s main reception area, press room, boardroom and other locations distributed throughout the 20 floors of the building.
