Paseo de Gracia at their feet
The Hotel Condes de Barcelona is ideally located in the heart of Paseo de Gracia, in the heart of modernist Barcelona, in front of Gaudi’s famous La Pedrera building, and just a few minutes from Plaza Catalunya and the historic center of the city.
The Hotel, which occupies a former 19th century mansion – Casa Daurella – offers 126 rooms and a restaurant service provided by chef Martín Berasategui, holder of three Michelin stars at the Lasarte restaurant. Its Alaire terrace located on the 8th floor of the hotel overlooking La Pedrera and the Sagrada Familia, is a reference and meeting point in the city.
In 2015, the Hotel underwent a complete refurbishment by Factoría UDA and interior designer Mercè Borrell, in which all the common rooms and bedrooms were renovated. Signes participated, in collaboration with Mercè Borrell, in the design of the hotel’s interior and exterior signage program, in which a light system of numbering and milled texts was developed, with a precise selection of typographies to transmit a current, modern and elegant image that would coexist in an integrated way with the architecture and the new interior design.
The intervention included the realization of large format panels for the headboards of the beds in high quality printed textile support and mounted on wooden frames with printed images that give great personality and uniqueness to each of the rooms. Other actions such as the directional and positional elements of the meeting rooms area or the Alaire terrace complete the unique signage of this hotel.
