The new headquarters was inaugurated at the beginning of last year, a complex designed to offer the highest standards of workspaces, which promotes the well-being of people with maximum architectural and energy efficiency. Its design has been carried out by the team of architects Batlle i Roig.

It consists of two rectangular buildings of five and six floors, with a total of 46,000 square meters on office extent, to which must be added 11,000 more in archives and underground parking. It is the largest administrative complex of the Generalitat.

Signes was responsible for carrying out both the Wayfinding project and eventually the production and installation of all the signalling elements.

The first challenge we faced was coming up with element designs that were inspired by the Generalitat de Catalunya’s own signalling manual, but also perfectly integrated into the building. The result is a very clean white lined signposting, which integrates stainless steel and turquoise green in contrast with the wood, which is found in great part of the building.

Simple signage, which adapts to the new forms of collaborative work and pretends to endure being functional in a landscape that is constantly shifting.
