The project to provide signage for the DKV Seguros Médicos corporate head office in Zaragoza was a challenge for SIGNES.
DKV Seguros is a huge company, with a high level of quality and a philosophy that is deeply rooted in respect for nature and the environment.
This building is also home to the Integralia Foundation, which collaborates with people with special needs, helping them to better integrate into society and the world of work.
The building’s architecture and interior design show an elegant respect for the environment. A LEED certified building, where signage takes on a special significance, helping users to navigate reliably and make their way around with complete autonomy.
The signage project was based on the DKV’s corporate identity, whilst stringently ensuring compliance with ISO quality regulations, with special attention given to assuring their ease of use for the visually impaired, taking features into account such as letter sizing, bold, contrasting colours, graphics with relief features, and of course all of the relevant texts in braille. Apart from formal signage, stylish photographs and graphics were incorporated to show open spaces, meeting areas, marketplaces with images of forests and wide, natural spaces; in short, to signpost and decorate a workspace in a way that would create a pleasant place where the day to day challenges of work can be met in comfort.
