National and Mexican implementation

ITP Aero is a Spanish leading company in the aeronautical and industrial engines with presence in five countries and manufacturing facilities in Spain, Mexico and India.

In its thirty-year history, ITP Aero has established itself as the ninth largest aeronautical engine and components company in the world. It designs and manufactures for the main aeronautical engines worldwide (Rolls-Royce, Pratt & Whitney, Honeywell).

In 2017 the British company Rolls-Royce acquired the brand Turbo Propeller Industry (ITP) and a new brand was born, ITP Aero.

After the brand changed, Signes won the competition to carry out the wayfinding project, manufacturing and installation of the signage design for the Spanish and Mexican headquarters of the company.

The wayfinding project and following implementation was developed for seven company facilities: Zamudio, Barakaldo, Sestao, Derio, Ajalvir, Alcobendas and México (Santiago de Querétaro).

The studies of the needs for each center were developed from an initial audit, and the Graphic Design was carried out following ITP Aero’s corporate identity and signage manual. The flows and circulations of the workers and clients were studied to define the signage design and build the typologies according to industrial design, considering the weather conditions, the durability of the signage design and the adaptability to the environment to improve the day-to-day work for users.
