Contemporary luxury, avant-garde design and Japanese minimalism

Founded by Nobu Matsuhisa, Robert De Niro and Meir Teper, the prestigious Nobu Hotel brand covers operations all over the world and it is ranked as one of the world's most innovative luxury brands.

In 2018 Selenta Group reached a shared management agreement with them to open their first hotel in Barcelona.

The Gran Hotel Torre Catalunya, located very close to Eixample District, was completely renewed to become Nobu Hotel Barcelona. In its 23 floors has a total of 259 luxury rooms and suites. On the 23rd floor you can find the restaurant, managed by the prestigious chef Nobu Matsuhisa, with impressive views of Barcelona’s skyline.

 

It has been a comprehensive project: Signes initially carried out the wayfinding project and then produced and istalled the whole corporate signage for the hotel.

Inspired by Japanese minimalism and linking it with the luxury of its interior design, full of avant-garde nuances, Signes has designed all the signage elements based on noble materials following simple and austere lines, putting emphasis on the surface finishes.

The family of signage design contains positional, directional, pictogram and directory elements, including all the emergency signage.

The result has been a functional and sophisticated signage that blends in with the surroundings, coexisting harmoniously with the hotel's architecture and interior design.
