A state-of-the-art business park

During Expo Zaragoza 2008, this complex made up of several interconnecting building housed the greater part of the visiting countries pavilions, a logistics center, stores, parking lots, restaurant areas, merchandizing, etc. Its three stories plus the walkable rooftop was accessible to the public all through the Expo.

At the end of this showcase, Sociedad Estatal Expoagua Zaragoza 2008 commissioned the reconversion of the buildings used to Estudio Lamela jointly with Máster Arquitectura e Ingeniería, to transform them into a strategic Business Park dynamizing this area very near to downtown.

In this exclusive design complex with its chromatic singularity and technological vanguardism, countless corporate offices and buildings have been established, activating the zone nearest to the Campus of Justice, the Aquarium and the Congress Center.

The wayfinding project and its production was awarded to Signes. Our Company developed a signposting design in accordance with the architecture and its chromatism. 6-meter totems were projected in the exterior to identify the entrances to the buildings for the new usage. The particularity and the homogeneity of the architecture made difficult the understanding of the entries as they were hidden and concealed by an enveloping architecture that though made the buildings in the outer look, made the interpretation of the access points more difficult. Our proposal was to identify the entry points with elements calling attention from afar.

The inner signage was completed with general directions on the ground floor and in the different hallways of the levels, wrapping up with the project design of corporate offices and services positional labels, so as to harmonize and visually unify all the signposting necessities.
