Cultural and social center in Madrid

La Casa Encendida is a social and cultural centre of the Montemadrid Foundation, located in the heart of Madrid. In 2017, and as part of the continuous renovation of the spaces, the building signage project was carried out, whose design fell to the 2x4 architecture studio.

The project required the complete update of the corporate image. Typography, colours and pictograms were renewed with the aim of becoming an accessible and reference building throughout the national scope, incorporating the braille system in the signage, as well as contrasted colours (black and white), with a graphic that facilitates the understanding of space for the group of people with visual disabilities.

Signes was in charge of carrying out the implementation of all the signage of the project, working very actively with the people in charge of La Casa Encendida and the 2x4 architecture studio to achieve the final goal.

Luminosity was provided in different areas with halo-illuminated corporeal signs, and modernity in the elements using relief texts and materials with environmental sensitivity, and high quality and resistance, bearing in mind that this is a large public space influx.

With all this, we achieved a transparent, accessible and avant-garde environment that coexists with the different activities that are developed and responds to the needs of all audiences.
