At Atlético de Madrid’s stadium, signage and wayfinding are conceived as a natural extension of the club’s identity, where architecture, color, and graphics work together to guide and engage visitors. The predominant use of the club’s red and blue colors, combined with large-scale, high-visibility elements, reinforces the character of the space and enables an intuitive reading of entrances, routes, and key areas. Towers and exterior gateways act as recognizable landmarks from a distance, while signage integrated into façades and structures clearly and efficiently guides visitors from the moment they arrive at the venue.
The project organizes visitor flows through a precise visual hierarchy that combines directional, identification, and confirmation signage, adapting to different moments of stadium use, both on event days and in everyday operation. Clear typography, strong color contrast, and the consistent repetition of visual codes allow for smooth navigation even in high-traffic situations. In this way, the user experience becomes more fluid, reducing uncertainty and strengthening the emotional connection with the space, where each signage element contributes to a coherent, functional experience aligned with the essence of the club
