The first MSC Cruises terminal in Barcelona is a cutting-edge building, conceived to ensure continuity in the passenger journey from land to sea by integrating design, functionality and sustainability. Its LEED Gold certification reflects a genuine commitment to energy efficiency, reducing environmental impact and optimising operational flows.
In a space of this nature, orientation becomes a strategic element. At Signes, we developed the project for integrating the wayfinding system, working from a holistic perspective of the passenger journey. The wayfinding design was conceived in close relation to the architecture, ensuring a clear reading of the space, a well-defined hierarchy of information and a seamless experience for different user profiles. From conceptual definition through to production and installation, the signage is integrated as a natural extension of the building, reinforcing the terminal’s identity and enabling intuitive, efficient and accessible navigation.
