The referral implantation of Signes|Eyedog in Madrid

La Paz University Hospital, in Madrid, inaugurated in 1964, has been consecrated during these more than 50 years as the hospital of reference in the capital. During this time, several renovations and extensions have been carried out in the enclosure until becoming the building that we see today; more than 140,000 m2 with different architectural styles, fitted together as they were being built. An infinity of corridors, spaces and stairs that exposed the wayfinding to a rigorous examination.

From the direction of the hospital they were convinced of the need for the implementation of a tool that facilitated the mobility of users within the building. Signes|Eyedog was the chosen solution, covering in a first phase only the Maternal and Child Hospital (more than 45,000m2) and analyze the result later on. After a few months of use, feedback began to reach the hospital management; satisfied users, enchanted health personnel and a media repercussion that led them to implement the application in the rest of the buildings.

The final application covers more than 142,000 internal and external routes, and dozens of users use it daily to reach their destination within the hospital. The app is available, free of charge, for iOS and Android platforms and already has thousands of downloads.
