Barcelona has been designated World Capital of Architecture 2026, a distinction awarded by UNESCO and the International Union of Architects (UIA). As experts in Wayfinding Design and given the close relationship of the discipline with architecture, Signes will participate in this capital with a free workshop, within the official program of BCN 2026.   <\/pre>\n\n\n\n

When talking about architecture in Barcelona, names like Gaud\u00ed, Enric Miralles or Ricardo Bofill are the most mentioned and their works are the center of many conversations. And rightly so. However, the city’s architectural heritage is so exuberant that it deserves to be discovered from multiple perspectives.    <\/p>\n\n\n\n
In this context and for 10 months, Barcelona offers a varied program with activities spread throughout the city, inviting professionals and citizens to rediscover its architectural wealth from new perspectives and complementary disciplines, including Wayfinding.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Architecture and Wayfinding Design: a deeply intertwined relationship  <\/strong>  <\/h2>\n\n\n\n
Wayfinding Design is the discipline responsible for the design of systems capable of guiding people through a physical environment and improving their understanding of spatial relationships. To this end, Wayfinding Design represents a critical aspect of architectural design and is an essential part of international architectural projects.
