URV (Universidad Rovira i Virgili) Campus Universitario de Sescelades, located in Tarragona with over 72,000 m2 and 1uildings with different faculties, research centers and institutions, technological and innovations centers, is a modern public learning institution with a solid trajectory in teaching and investigation, renowned all around. With an ample territorial vision and the willingness for international projection. In the year 2011, they bet on change and expansion of their exterior signage all across the Campus.

At the time of the awarding to signage the Campus whereby a public bid, graphic designer Jaume Bach contacted us to revise the project, review locations and collaborate with the industrial part of the signposting.

The materials utilized were thought of to obtain the maximum durability out doors and attain the greatest guarantee before possible vandalic actions, a composite board was proposed for the front of the labels, achieving correct planimetry and the least number of joints. The pieces were protected with UV varnish for greater durability and in order preserve the signage of the sun and graphittis.

Positional totems were fabricated in order to identify the 18 main buildings, supported by directional totems of a lesser size, in order to guide to and locate the multiple destinations. The project was completed with location plans to determine the position of any point within the Campus.

A singular element to highlight is the main totem identifying the University, in an oval shape and 12 meters high.
