University Hospitals in Cartagena and Mar Menor

CASA, architectural studio specialized in healthcare architecture, gathered us to study the signage needs and design of the Santa Lucía y los Arcos del Servicio Murciano de Salud hospital.

The two buildings, located in the same community and built on almost coinciding dates, were a challenge to Signes.
The client had a Corporate Identity Manual but lacked a signposting system for their hospitals. The first task of our company was to carry out the design of a Signage Manual to be implemented, not only at these two hospitals, but also in the ones to come.

The program that was designed contemplated all the identification of the buildings in the mid and long term, as well as directional labels, totems and signposting accessories in order to locate the pedestrian and motor access ways.

The identification of the entrances, the general directions and specialties, as well as directional positional and pictographic elements to locate destinations, were fabricated in painted and labelled aluminum with vinyls in order to provide a quality product at an optimum price, and to meet the requirements of proper signage, in its conception and production, for a public hospital.
